Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory

The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) is the Northern Territory’s premier cultural organisation. MAGNT manages the Territory’s internationally renowned cultural and scientific collections. These are displayed, preserved and researched at the seven sites MAGNT manages across the Northern Territory (NT).

The principal venue is at Bullocky Point and Fannie Bay Gaol in Darwin; and in Alice Springs, the Museum of Central Australia incorporating the Strehlow Research CentreMegafauna Central, and the Alcoota Fossil Bed site.

MAGNT’s portfolio also includes managing Lyons Cottage on Darwin’s Esplanade and the Defence of Darwin Experience at East Point in Darwin.

These venues offer visitors a dynamic program of exhibitions and activities year round.
