Women's Safety Summit

Published

Territory Families, Housing and Communities is proud to support 15 Northern Territory (NT) delegates attend the National Summit on Women’s Safety 2021.

Delivered virtually over 6-7 September, the Summit is an important opportunity to connect the work being done by federal and state governments, community organisations and individuals to create a future where women and children live free from violence.

NT delegates will travel to Darwin to watch the livestream together and discuss the Summit panels and keynote addresses as a group.

They will join a range of experts, advocates, service providers and people with lived experience to discuss a broad range of issues including economic security and financial independence, perpetrator interventions, and responding to sexual violence.

Discussions at the Summit will form part of the consultation process for the next National Plan to end violence against women and children, which will build on the existing National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022.
