Nominate a Territory sportsperson for the 2022 Northern Territory Sports Awards

Published

The Northern Territory Sports Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of our athletes, coaches, sporting officials and volunteers.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic saw minimal sport played at a national and international level in 2021. As a result, the 2022 Northern Territory Sports Awards will focus on local achievements with the following nine categories.

There are nine categories available for nomination:

  • Sportsperson of the Year
  • Junior Sportsperson of the Year
  • Masters Sportsperson of the Year
  • Team of the Year
  • Junior Team of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Official of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year

The 2022 Northern Territory Sports Awards will also see the introduction of the Karen Schneider Sports Medicine Australia Safe Sport Award. This award will be presented to a person or persons who has contributed to creating a safer sporting environment for their team, players or sporting community.

Read more about each of the award categories, along with the selection criteria for each award, on the Northern Territory Sports Awards webpage.
