Varuna writing fellowships open for NT creatives

The Arts NT Varuna Writing Fellowships are now open for application.

The Fellowship is an exceptional opportunity for 9 talented writers and illustrators to hone their craft at the renowned Varuna National Writer's House located in the Blue Mountains of NSW, a location sure to inspire!

The partnership between Arts NT and Varuna was established in 2016 and is worth $16,600 annually. Since launching the partnership, an impressive 31 NT creatives have won a Fellowship.

Last year, emerging First Nations author Kalem Murray won a Fellowship through the submission of his fantasy novel "Frayed Threads".

We look forward to welcoming a new group of talented individuals in the upcoming round of Fellowships. Best of luck to all applicants putting their hat in the ring this year!
