Board of Management

The Board of Management came into effect on 23 March 2020, replacing the Executive Management Board and the Executive Strategic Operational Group.

The board monitors performance across the department including people, procurement and finance. It leads the delivery of cross agency and whole of government priorities, conducts reviews of strategic documentation, assesses key data including informed risk management and ensures business practices are implemented and maintained to achieve the department’s objectives.

Executive Management Board (replaced by the Board of Management 23 March 2020)

The Executive Management Board monitors performance across finance, people, procurement and ministerial indicators.

The board evaluates reporting of key data to enable informed risk management practices.  It shares appropriate information and reviews high level policies and strategic documentation to ensure they are fit for purpose and reflect the best practice and future direction of the department.

Executive Strategic Operational Group (replaced by the Board of Management 23 March 2020)

The Executive Strategic Operational Group:

  • provides advice to the Chief Executive Officer on the strategic direction of the department
  • leads the delivery of cross agency and whole of government priorities
  • ensures the implementation and achievement of departmental performance measures set out in the Corporate Plan and its Purpose and Direction Strategy.
