Multicultural Affairs Newsletter - March 2023
Round 1 of the Multicultural Grants Program 2023-24 is now open
Applications for Round 1 of the Multicultural Grants Program 2023-24 are now open for events, festivals, activities and projects commencing in July 2023.
Migrant and multicultural community organisations needing assistance for projects that support social inclusion and cohesion, cultural and linguistic diversity, and enhance multiculturalism in the Northern Territory are encouraged to apply. Applications will be assessed according to the criteria outlined in the program guidelines.
The Office of Multicultural Affairs encourages applicants to read the grants guidelines carefully prior to applying and contact the office on 8999 3894 and email tfhc.multiculturalaffairs@nt.gov.au for any queries.
To apply, visit GrantsNT. If you are new to GrantsNT, you will need to register and create your organisation’s profile in the GrantsNT website to be able to apply for grants.
For assistance, please refer to the help videos or FAQ’s.
Applications close on 31 March 2023.
Applications for Creative Communities Arts Grants now open
Creative Communities Arts Grants up to $5,000 are available for community groups and not-for profit organisations for grassroots, community-led arts activities that increase community participation in the arts in the Northern Territory.
If your community group dances, performs, paints, sculpts or creates any type of art – and it is open to the wider community to take part - then you could apply for funding through a Creative Communities Grant.
Read the 2022-23 Arts and Culture Grants Program Guidelines for more information and contact an Arts Development Officer to discuss your idea on 8999 8981 or 1800 678 237 or email arts.office@nt.gov.au, before submitting an application.
Applications close on 31 May 2023, 2pm or until the budget is expended.
Updates to contacts in multicultural community associations
The Office of Multicultural Affairs encourages all multicultural community organisations and associations to create a generic email address (if not yet created) for their organisation instead of using private email addresses of presidents and other board members.
If there have been changes to committee members in your multicultural community association, please advise the Office of Multicultural Affairs by emailing the updated contact details to tfhc.multiculturalaffairs@nt.gov.au
