Office of Gender Equity and Diversity

The Office of Gender Equity and Diversity provides policy advice across the Northern Territory (NT) Government about gender equality, diversity and inclusion.

This includes providing support directly to the Minister for Equality and Inclusion.

We progress key reforms and administer grants and scholarships to provide more equal opportunities for all Territorians. By doing so, we're helping reach their full potential through gendered approaches.

The office incorporates the former Office of Women’s Policy and the Office of Men’s Policy and now includes gender diversity.

Action plan

Gender equality is a human right and fundamental to progress social wellbeing, social justice and community cohesion in the NT.

The government has released a statement of commitment and action plan to support initiatives and practices that drive equality for women, men and people with diverse gender identities.
