2020 NT Youth Round Table biography - Kaitlyn Pagel

"My hopes and dreams for young people is to make us all equal and to be treated the same way despite our background, our past or things we have done that wasn't our best choice".

Kaitlyn is a hard working young woman, with a strong personality who works at Woodroffe Primary School as a Special Education Support Officer (SESO). Kaitlyn’s experiences provide a unique lens and perspective of young people. Kaitlyn has participated in various scenarios that have required her to step up and represent youth.

Kaitlyn’s vision for young Territorians is that ‘young Indigenous kids have a chance, to have someone that believes in them’.

With her experiences with foster care, Pauline has an incredible insight to the needs of young people and has some great ideas on how support networks can best support young people in care to succeed in life.

This year, Pauline would like to build her knowledge and further develop skills in leadership problem solving and organisation so that she can continue to be a strong advocate for young people who are involved with the Foster Care System.
