2022 NT Youth Round Table biography - Alicia Kuroda-Metin

Alicia just finished Year 11 at the Casuarina Senior College where she will be one of the two School Captains in 2022 (Year 12). She works in customer service at the Nightcliff Newsagency and is an extremely enthusiastic young woman who finds passion for many topics, sports and activities, particularly netball, singing and producing music.

Alicia likes to be involved in both school and extracurricular activities and has represented her middle school in debates related to social topics. Alicia has spoken at climate rallies as she strongly believes in the power of youth to ensure a strong and sustainable future for her generation. She is particularly interested in the NT health system and she sees a possible future for herself down that path.

Alicia says:

“I believe the NT Youth Round Table is an incredible opportunity to provide an input into the lives of youth around the places I call home. I lived in a remote Aboriginal community in Arnhem Land as a child and experienced first-hand the incredibly rich cultural environment of our communities. My time living in the NT has been fulfilling and has shaped me into the strong character I am. I believe I can transfer my knowledge and experience into a role in the Round Table.”
