2022 NT Youth Round Table biography - Shanae Kuo

Shanae has recently graduated from Charles Darwin University (CDU) with a Bachelor of Secondary Education (Major Chemistry, Minor English) and is teaching at a local Darwin school. She currently runs a CDU student affiliated group called the GG (Good Games) Social Club and is a part of a not-for-profit called Geek Culture Collective NT. Shanae has lived all her life in the NT and hopes to pursue a Diploma of Project Management to learn how to further her community projects.

Shanae loves collaborating with local Darwin businesses and working with other student leaders. She has volunteered with the City of Darwin’s Launch program, City of Palmerston and other initiatives. Some of her hobbies include performing vocals and guitar as well as cooking and gaming.

Shanae says:

“I want to join the NT Youth Round Table as I am passionate about young people and want to gain skills to bring back to my community. I also love coming up with great ideas to engage different audiences and creating connections within the community, especially with Darwin local businesses.”
