2023 NT Youth Round Table biography - Carlito (Dante) Rodriguez

Dante is a Portuguese Timorese and First Nations young person. He completed year 12 and has since gone on to have a diverse range of experience in the workforce. He has completed a Certificate IV in Sport and Recreation and is a professional and award winning Kickboxer and Muay Thai fighter and represented at an Olympic level. Dante has worked with NAILSMA (North Australia Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance) and has been on the United Nations IUCN Youth Council (International Union for Conservation of Nature).

Dante uses his influence gained through sport to promote mental and physical health awareness within his community. Dante is passionate about sharing his story and being a role model for other indigenous youth to look after their health and wellbeing by encouraging them to choose positive life choices.
