2023 NT Youth Week Ambassador biography - Taylah Mills

Taylah has spent most of her life in East Arnhem and is passionate about working with young people. She currently works for East Arhnem Regional Council and was a part of the Nhulunbuy Youth Council for three years. In 2021 she won a GTNT School-Based Trainee of the Year Award and has also had her speeches about Youth Mental Health and Climate Change read to parliament. She aspires to complete studies to be a teacher because she believes education plays an important role in the lives of young people.

Taylah would like to see more young people focussing on their education and being supported to do so. She also believes it is so important to hear the opinions of all young people as they are going to be our next teachers, politicians, doctors etc. so their voice is important, and she wants to make sure they are heard.
