2024 NT Youth Round Table biography - Kyila Pepperill
Kyila Pepperill is a young Aboriginal senior student in Central Australia, who actively contributes to her community as a member of the Tangentyere Youth Family Safety Group. In this role, she engages in meaningful discussions on topics such as domestic violence and fostering healthy relationships.
Beyond her commitment to advocacy, Kyila is a dedicated member of the Westies Netball Club, where she plays as well as contributes to various fundraising activities.
Kyila is driven by a sense of responsibility to amplify the voices of young Aboriginal people who might otherwise go unheard. By sharing her firsthand experiences of growing up in a town camp, she aims to contribute valuable insights to the Round Table, aspiring to influence government decisions that positively affect the lives of Aboriginal people.
