Apply for the NT Youth Round Table
The Northern Territory (NT) Youth Round Table (Round Table) program is open to all young people residing in the NT who are aged 15 to 25 years.

Who can apply
You must be at least 15 years of age on 1 January 2025.
Visa holders can be nominated as a potential Round Table member. Their visa must be current for the term of the appointment from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024.
Membership may consist of 2024 Round Table members and those appointed through an open application process.

Sitting fees
We value your expertise and pay our members sitting fees for their participation during the in-person meetings.
The Office of Youth Affairs (OYA) covers the cost of the following:
- all travel for members outside of the Darwin/Darwin rural region
- accommodation
- meals and meeting expenses for the four in-person meetings in Darwin and monthly online videoconferences
Additionally, members may be eligible for reasonable reimbursements as needed.
The only cost to you is your time and commitment to attend each meeting.
Meeting dates
At the meetings, members discuss important youth issues with peers, youth groups, service providers, and government representatives.
In addition to the 4 meetings, members are consulted for their feedback or input into a wide variety of policies and initiatives.
How applications are assessed
Applications are assessed by a selection panel consisting of OYA staff and a young person and should represent the geographical, cultural and ethnic diversity of the Territory.
